Do not treat Hell as the first farm
Recent player reports describe the same wall: damage feels fine in Nightmare, then Hell rares hit much harder while experience and gold feel worse. Treat early Hell as a progression gate, not a place you must clear at full speed on the first visit.
Keep Nightmare as your safe fallback while you gather hero levels, market gold and a coherent set. A fast, repeatable run that kills everything cleanly is more useful than a Hell map that repeatedly kills you and erases the experience you just earned.
Get the early Ether points first
- 01Enter Hell and open the Ether quest list on the right side of the screen.
- 02Buy the cheapest suitable key for a keyed dungeon, then complete the dungeon objective and open its final chest. A chest will not open while required monsters remain.
- 03Use the extra Ether points to reach Ready to Pop, the Colossal Chest farming node described by current player reports.
- 04If a key run is still too dangerous, return to Nightmare Satanic Zones and save gold until the entry is safe.
The Ether quest reward and Ready to Pop route are community-reported guidance, not a replacement for the current in-game quest text.
Build a low-risk Colossal Chest loop
- 01Choose a compact Nightmare map such as Misty Swamp or Steam Train if your character clears it reliably.
- 02Rush the Colossal Chest objective instead of spending several minutes on low-value stragglers.
- 03Reset and repeat while tracking clear time, deaths, useful drops and gold.
- 04Keep valuable Satanic or green-tier pieces for a market check; prospect items that have no realistic demand.
Know when to push again
- Your main skill kills normal packs without long standstill windows.
- Resistances remain usable after the difficulty penalty, not just capped in the character sheet.
- A mercenary or defensive swap does not die before it contributes its role.
- You can finish a Hell route without losing more experience than you gain.
- The next upgrade has a specific job: damage scaling, resistance, sustain or movement—not just a higher item colour.
Questions players ask
Should I farm Nightmare after entering Hell?
Yes, if Hell kills you or takes much longer. Nightmare Satanic Zones and a focused Colossal Chest loop can fund the first upgrades while you build hero levels.
How do I get more Ether points early?
Check the Ether quests available after entering Hell and complete a suitable keyed dungeon. The exact available quests can change, so follow the current quest panel.
What is Ready to Pop?
It is an Ether-tree node associated by current player reports with a stronger Colossal Chest farming loop. Verify the node text in your live tree before spending points.
