Complete The Fall of Darkness
- 01Reach Hell 5 and finish whichever prerequisite the live journal currently shows.
- 02Enter the Circle of Hatred and defeat Gabriel; confirm “Gabriel Slain” updates before leaving.
- 03Enter the Tomb of Amun-Ra and defeat Amun-Ra; confirm the second objective updates.
- 04Return or continue exactly where the journal points after both boxes are checked.
- 05Open the relic interface and verify the fifth active slot is available before changing character or party state.
Recent player guides and questions consistently connect this completion to the fifth relic slot, but the current official Season 10 announcement does not document the quest reward.
If the quest will not advance
- Confirm the active difficulty is Hell 5 and the quest name matches exactly.
- Check each Wanted objective separately; defeating a boss before its portal or fragment step may not satisfy the current journal.
- For Damien, verify the Key of Terror objective and portal interaction rather than only the boss kill.
- For the codex step, confirm both use and zone-clear objectives have registered.
- In co-op, let the host compare progress and repeat only the missing objective.
Keep useful proof before retrying
Capture the journal, difficulty, boss objective and patch number. That evidence distinguishes a missed prerequisite from a quest-state bug and prevents a support report from becoming an uncheckable “it did not work.”
